discover theatre at Polka. They may
arrive in a school group or with
their families. They may come from
London or beyond. They may take
their seats in the Main Auditorium
or the Adventure Theatre. They may
be invited as 'first-timers' through
our Curtain-Up! free ticketing
scheme. Whichever, once they step
through Polka's doors, their
appetite for high-quality theatre
will be powerfully awakened.
We are both a very local theatre,
loved by the inhabitants of
Wimbledon and the wider London
community, and a global centre,
known the world over as a pioneer of
theatre for young people. We
consistently set high standards for
ourselves and raise the expectations
of our audiences. We aim to deliver
nothing but the best, which is what
our young audiences deserve. We keep
things fresh by discovering exciting
new writers and dynamic new
performers and by blending the best
of contemporary culture with the
finest traditions. Everything we do
is focused on providing children
with an exhilarating introduction to
the incomparable magic of theatre.
